Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) embodying capital and technology or some intangible advantage is the act of establishing or acquiring a foreign subsidiary over which the investing company has extensive management control. The empirical results show the influence of patents, copyright, trademarks and competition in GDP and GDP growth, which is changeable according to the explanatory variables utilized in our econometric models.
