THE INFLUENCE OF PERSONALITY ON STUDENTS’CAREER VALUES

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between personality characteristics and career anchors of university students. In this study we have also investigated whether some demographic variables are related with career and personality. 377 voluntary participants filled out questionnaires anonymously. We have found that all of the big five personality characteristics are varying for male and females. Furthermore there have been found the highest relationship (r=0,407; p<0,001) between openness to experience personality characteristic and pure challenge career anchor.
