The LOGIT Model Applied to the Study of Some Variables that Define the Origin and Diagnosis of Professional Disease in Colombia

In this paperwork we analyze certain aspects of the origin of professional disease in Colombia and we highlight some important challenges and dilemmas of social system that Colombian workers recently stand up to. We base our research upon a database of 185 workers that claim professional origin of their illnesses of which many are unjustly rejected by Colombian health system or ARP. We also present a model that accounts for the probability of successfully being classified by ARP in terms of occupational illnesses. Our results comprise of information that we obtained while questioning patients. We point out certain irregularities that are committed by ARP (institution that evaluates workers in terms of their illness's origin)
