The Non-Ergodic Africa : A Perspective of Transport Research

The paper illuminates the non-ergodic space of Africa from a vantage point of transport research. It draws on the methodology and epistemology of case study to examine the dynamical space. The paper traces both the physical and social dimensions of transport research back to independence. It identifies both the challenges and opportunities for improved transport research on the continent, and they exist in a duality of interdisciplinarity and public-private partnerships (PPP)
