The Organizational Change and Development Practices in Automotive Dealership
Managing change has been noted as a core challenge for HR Practitioners, as any change concerns people working within the organization. The purpose of this study was to know the existing Organizational Change and Development practices and how it affects employee performance in Automotive dealership. The study was focused on describing Organizational Change and Development practices. The study also intended to propose enhancement on Organizational Development (OD) intervention of Automotive Dealerships.The researcher utilized the descriptive-correlational research method to analyze and present the data findings. A mixed method Quanti-Quali was used through a survey questionnaire answered by non-managerial employees. Qualitative in the sense that it performed an interview with HR personnel to obtain an understanding of the respondent automotive dealership's organizational improvement and growth activities. Using this approach, the researcher was able to pose and explain questions directly to the experts and concerned individuals.In this study, the target population was from the automotive Dealership located in National Capital Region (NCR); the Top ten (10) automotive dealers in terms of sales and after-sales in the past five (5) years were the sample of this study. A convenience sampling technique was utilized in selecting the four (4) companies included in the study.The researcher used Spearman Correlation to test the significant relationship between Employee Performance and the following: Job Satisfaction, Employee Performance, Personal Development, and Performance Rating. Also, to test the significant relationship between Organizational Change and employees in terms of Job Satisfaction, Employee Performance, Personal Development, and Performance Rating. Based on the results, both had a significant relationship.Based on the results, the researcher recommends the following Organizational Development Intervention program to the automotive dealership: It must develop a clear policy on Performance Management System, develop Employee Engagement Programs and Activities to create, establish an employee recognition program, and provide Personal Development.Keywords: Organizational Change, Organizational Development Practices, Employee Performance, Productivity, Personal Development, Performance Rating
