The Phased Impact of Agribusiness Size On Farmers’ Income：Evidence from China

This paper examines the impact of agribusiness size on farmers’ income and potential phased characteristics, using panel data of 31 provinces (cities and districts) in China from 2015 to 2020. A fixed effects regression model was used in the analysis, and endogenous problem was solved by instrumental variable regression and systematic generalized moment estimation. The empirical results reveal that the overall trend is that agribusiness size can promote the adoption of e-commerce to significantly increase farmers' income, but the impact of agribusiness size on farmers' income is characterized by an "N" phase. Additional analysis reveals that the income effects of agribusiness size are heterogeneous across categories of farmers' income
