The Theory and Practice of Assessing the Effectiveness of Economic Measures
The decisions of the Twenty-sixth CPSU Congress and the November (1982) and June (1983) Plenums of the CPSU Central Committee indicated the basic directions in which the economic mechanism is to be improved. Specifically, it must be oriented toward maximizing the potential and advantages of the intensive type of expanded reproduction, toward radically increasing effectiveness, and toward performing major social tasks.
