To What Extent Can an Organisation’S Reward System Assist Organisational Success?
The purpose of this research article is to critically evaluate to what extent an organisation’s reward system can assist organisational success. A qualitative methodological approach is used for this research. This is based on the secondary data and adopts a narrative analysis. This research concludes that reward system assist organisations to achieve their desired goals and objectives as it encourages employees for higher commitment and reliability towards organisational strategy. The article reveals that rewards have been proven to be effective in raising employee productivity level, innovation, and output. It also shows that reward systems have enabled companies to strengthen their positions to compete more effectively in the marketplace. Furthermore, study concludes that having reward system in places does not ensure success alone if is not properly designed and structured, and if it does not match with organisational business strategy and employees' needs and expectations
