Togav's Architectural Framework of the Information System

Paper is devoted to the analysis of features of TOGAV's architectural framework of the information system. The TOGAF framework (The Open Group Architecture Framework) is the set of tools of development of architectures for various purposes. The information system with the help of this framework can be described as the set of modules. Within the framework of TOGAF, there is the special definition of architectureas the formal description of system or a detailed plan of the system at the level of components and the methodology of their realization. TOGAF consists of four architectural parts: business architecture (describes the key business processes, business development strategy and principles of management); application-level architecture (describes application interfaces and how to use its in terms of business services); data-tier architecture (defines logical and physical data structure in organization); technological architecture (determines the software, hardware and network infrastructure). The main components of TOGAF are the following: ADM-methodology (Architecture Development Method), describing the development process architecture; guidance and design methodology for ADM; Architecture Content Framework, which is detailed results model's development; architectural continuum of the organization (Enterprise Continuum), which has the form of the repository architectural artifacts and implementations; TOGAF reference models; technical Reference Model and the Integrated Information Infrastructure Model. We made the conclusion that TOGAF framework can be used not only as the single framework, but in conjunction with other frameworks. In particular, it includes the special document that defines the correspondence between the concepts of TOGAF and the Zachman framework
