Trends in Chemical Fertilizer Consumption in India

The main purpose of this seminar paper is to examine the key trends in Consumption of chemical fertilizers, production and import of it’s in India, from 2005-06 to 2015-16. This seminar paper are based on secondary data and relevant data have collected from handbook of Indian economy and state of Indian agriculture and other annual reports of department of agriculture, cooperation and farmers welfare. And its Consumption, production and import related appropriate time series data have presented in standard format with percentage of change on Year to Year. Plants nutrients supply from the chemical fertilizer is the key to increasing agriculture production by improving the land productivity. However, the demand supply gap of fertilizers in India has increased in recent times, thereby leading to increased dependency on imports.
