Triple Reaction Centers Vo-Ce-Cuo Nanosheets with Single CE Atom for the Fenton-Like Degradation of Niflumic Acid
V o (oxygen vacancy)-Ce-CuO nanosheet catalysts were studied for degrading niflumic acid (NFA) by the heterogeneous Fenton-like process (HFLP). Synergetic effects of triple reaction centers with electron-rich V o and single Ce atom have demonstrated for generating hydroxyl radicals (•OH) by H 2 O 2 decomposition. The electrons from the pollutants adsorbed at the electron-deficient Cu centers could be transferred to V o and Ce via the internal bridge bond to balance the electron-transfer. H 2 O 2 could indirectly obtain electrons from organic pollutants to produce •OH with a high H 2 O 2 utilization efficiency instead of reducing metal ions by consuming H 2 O 2 . For the first time we demonstrate the triple reaction centers with single Ce atom could improve conversion percentage of H 2 O 2 to •OH with 71.1%. •OH, HO 2 • /O 2 •- and 1 O 2 were the primary oxidant in the HFLP
