Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria : Analysis of National Reports on the Implementation of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD)

This review, commissioned by the European Commission DG-Development, Brussels, presents a brief analysis of the national implementation reports submitted by Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria. These countries span two CCD regions as Turkey is considered as part of the Northern Mediterranean while the other countries are considered as part of the Asian region. Regional annexes to the Convention have been developed by relevant Parties detailing the particular conditions and priority concerns of each region. However cross-regional co-operation is strongly encouraged.
