Tyrkiet træder ind i koalitionen: En analyse af Tyrkiets udenrigspolitiske kompas
Overordnet set anlægger rapporten et fokus på de motiver og målsætninger, der driver og præger Tyrkiets deltagelse i den internationale koalition til bekæmpelse af ISi Irak og Syrien (herefter Koalitionen). Formålet er at belyse Tyrkiets konfliktende interesser i relation til Koalitionen. Det vil sige de områder, hvor Tyrkiets interesser og midler ikke er i overensstemmelse med Koalitionens sigte. Efter en mere kortfattet, historisk betonet analyse af udviklingen i tyrkisk udenrigspolitik de seneste år, giver rapporten en mere dybdegående analyse af den interne, politiske dynamik op til og efter junivalget i Tyrkiet og dets betydning for udenrigspolitikken. En begrænset periode, der for den siddende regering både bød på indenrigs- og udenrigspolitiske udfordringer. Samlet set fik processen afgørende betydning for, hvilke nationale særinteresser, den tyrkiske regering kom til bordet med i Koalitionsregi, og som affødte spændinger i forholdet mellem parterne, Tyrkiet og USA. Rapporten præsenterer derfor en samlet analyse af de tyrkiske interesser, der er retningsgivende i denne første tid i forholdet mellem Koalitionen og Tyrkiet.
