Unternehmensführung und Ökologie
Dem Umweltschutz kommt in der Führungskonzeption deutscher Industrieunternehmen, insbesondere in der Hierarchie der unternehmerischen Grundwerte und Unternehmensziele, eine bislnag eher untergeordnete Bedeutung zu. Dennoch ist er mit den meisten ökonomischen Unternehmenszielen komplementär verbunden: Unternehmen, die Umweltschutzziele verfolgen, sind in wirtschaftlicher Hinsicht meist erfolgreich. Konflikte zwischen ökologischer und ökonomischer Zielerreichung der Unternehmen treten letztlich in eher nur geringem Maße auf und werden daher von vielen Managern und in der öffentlichen Diskussion meist überschätzt. Daraus ergibt sich die Forderung nach einer Aufwertung des Umweltschutzes in der betrieblichen Werte- und Zielhierarchie, um seine Bedeutung als Erfolgsfaktor der Unternehmensführung stärker zur Geltung zu bringen.
