Value and the Structure of Retail Trade
The steady growth of retail trade, which reflects the general rise in the population's living standard and cultural level, is accompanied by substantial changes in the value and physical structure of the goods sold. These changes are predetermined by numerous factors, the most important of which are: the volume of consumer goods production, their group and intra-group structure, the possibility and willingness of production to consider new phenomena in demand, changes in the population's incomes and in retail prices on goods, and the volume of exports and imports of finished goods and of raw materials and supplies used for the production of consumer goods.
