Was beeinflusst den Übergang von der Arbeitslosigkeit in die Erwerbstätigkeit (Arbeitslosenuntersuchung, Teil I)
In einer computerunterstützten telefonischen Befragung von rund 20000 Arbeitslosen und ehemals Arbeitslosen wurden Anfang 2000 Angaben zu den Suchaktivitäten und der Erwerbsorientierung der Arbeitslosen erhoben und Erkenntnisse über die Beendigung der Arbeitslosigkeit gewonnen. Der Beitrag analysiert die persönlichen und arbeitsmarktbezogenen Merkmale, die die berufliche Reintegration beeinflussen. Es zeigt sich, dass neben der Dauer der Arbeitslosigkeit das Alter, das Geschlecht, die Staatsangehörigkeit sowie Ausbildung und Gesundheit von besonderer Bedeutung sind. Das Zusammentreffen mehrerer negativer Faktoren führt schnell zu Konstellationen, die eine Wiedereingliederung sehr schwierig machen. Auch ein hohes Engagement der Arbeitslosen bei der Stellensuche kann dies oft nicht kompensieren. Jenseits der individuellen Merkmale wirkt sich die örtliche Arbeitsmarktlage entscheidend auf die Übergangschancen aus.
