Winzergenossenschaften im Wettbewerb
Die Weine von Winzergenossenschaften genießen in der Öffentlichkeit bisher einen mitunter mäßigen Ruf. Unterstützt wird diese Einschätzung durch zwei Studien von Frick und Dilger, die den Einfluss der Rechtsform eines Weinbaubetriebs auf Qualität und Quantität der Erzeugnisse untersuchen. Danach produzieren Genossenschaften tendenziell große Mengen eher einfacher Weine zu niedrigen Preisen. Allerdings weisen beide Studien theoretische, methodische und weinbaufachliche Mängel auf. Eine Überprüfung der Thesen von Frick und Dilger ergibt, dass Winzergenossenschaften zwar höhere Mengen zu relativ niedrigen Preisen produzieren, dass die Qualität der Genossenschaftsweine aber wesentlich besser ist, als bei Frick und Dilger berichtet. Es ergibt sich eine überdurchschnittliche Preis-Leistungs-Relation der Genossenschaftsweine.
