Zur Relevanz der handelsrechtlichen Steuerlatenzierung für Genossenschaften
Zusammenfassung Durch das Bilanzrechtsmodernisierungsgesetz (BilMoG) wurde die handelsrechtliche Bilanzierung von latenten Steuern nach § 274 HGB nach dem Vorbild der IFRS neu geregelt. Zwar besteht für einen Aktivüberhang an latenten Steuern weiterhin ein Ansatzwahlrecht und nur für den Ausnahmefall eines Passivüberhangs eine Ansatzpflicht, bestehende Angabepflichten sowie die in der Kritik stehende Interpretation des IDW könnten indes selbst für die von der Anwendung des § 274 HGB befreiten kleinen Genossenschaften eine faktische Latenzierungspflicht bewirken. Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht vor diesem Hintergrund die Relevanz der handelsrechtlichen Steuerlatenzierung für Genossenschaften und leitet hieraus konkrete Handlungsempfehlungen ab.
