ANALISIS PROSPEK KARET (Hevea brasiliensis) DI INDONESIA TAHUN 2045 MENYAMBUT 100 TAHUN INDONESIA MERDEKA (Analysis of Rubber Prospect in Indonesia to Celebrating 100 Years of Indonesian Independence in 2045)
This research aims to find out: 1) Prospects for Indonesia's rubber production in 2045, 2) Internal and External Factors, and 3) Development strategy to increase rubber production. The type of research is descriptive quantitative using time series data. This research uses secondary data, namely data on Indonesian rubber production for the last 30 years (1991-2020) were obtained from FAO and Directorate General of Estate Crops Indonesia. To determine the significance value in the IFAS and EFAS matrices, an empirical study from 40 research journals was used. The results of the discovery of SWOT elements from the study are assumed to occur at the same time. The data analysis methods used in this research are Classical Assumption Test, Simple Linear Regression (prediction analysis), and SWOT analysis (development strategy). The results of Classical Assumption Test showing the data is worth it to predict rubber production in 2045. The predicted results of rubber production in 2045 will reach 5,869,768 tons. In 2045 or coinciding with 100 years of independence, Indonesia's economic growth will increase by 5.1-5.7% per year, and Indonesia can overtake Thailand's position as a major producer if rubber production is assumed to rise to 40% where Indonesia's rubber production reaches 8,217,675 tons. The results of the SWOT analysis show that internal factors are: land availability, availability of rubber farmers (human resources), soil conditions and an appropriate tropical climate, low farmer capital, limited facilities, infrastructure and technology, uncertain prices, and lack of rejuvenation. External factors are: domestic and export market demand is increasing, production and competitiveness are increasing, government support, OPT (pest) attacks, COVID-19 pandemic and climate change, as well as rubber land conversion. Development strategies to increase rubber production are: 1) Expanding and utilizing land, 2) Empowering human resources and maintaining rubber quality according to standards of market, 3) Increasing government or private sector partnerships with rubber farmers
