Attitudes of the Population toward the Prospect of Making the Transition to a Market
Such was the theme of the latest poll conducted by the All-Union Center for the Study of Public Opinion in eleven regions in four of the country's union republics: the RSFSR, the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Kirghizia. A combined total of 1,440 urban and rural dwellers 16 years of age or older took part in the poll. The sample aggregate reflects the sex, age, and domiciliary >i>[poselencheskaia]>/i> structure of the nation's population as a whole.
