Bacardi‐Martini fosters a spirit of pride
Purpose – Illustrates why drink manufacturer Bacardi‐Martini has been featured in the top 10 of the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For awards for the past five years since the accolades began. Design?methodology/approach – Discusses the family principles at the firm along with the company values of productivity, accountability, creativity and teamwork (PACT). Reveals the list of perks available for employees. Findings – Stresses the importance of employee training and good employee communications at the firm. Practical implications – Describes how, by creating good morale at the company, Bacardi‐Martini has gained a competitive advantage in the drinks industry through higher productivity. Originality/value – Underlines the company's belief that unless an employee's family is in good health they will not be able to work as well. Demonstrates that the company is aware that there are things outside the job that affect staff and how they work.
