Customer Access Information Technology (Cait) Deployment Evaluation
Customer access information technology offers greatpotential benefits to both the organization and itscustomers. However, managers lack methods forevaluating these technologies and determining whetherconditions exist for success. We propose a model fromMarketing Science which captures factors influencing thesuccess of a CAIT. The factors include value platformfeatures - features of the CAIT, and location strategyfeatures - features of the environment into which theCAIT is deployed. This model is applied to homebanking, providing insights as to types of systems mostlikely to be successful
