Die Unvollständigkeit des Arbeitsmarktes
Unternehmen konkurrieren längst nicht nur um Technologieführerschaft und Marktmacht, sondern auch um die besten Mitarbeiter. Durch die stetig wachsende Nachfrage nach den besten Kandidaten für vakante Positionen liegt es häufig an den Unternehmen, mit Personalmarketingmaßnahmen auf sich aufmerksam zu machen. Besonders bei der Suche nach hoch qualifizierten Arbeitnehmern muss die Personalabteilung eines Unternehmens mit verschiedenen Strategien am Arbeitsmarkt agieren, um die besten mit ins Boot zu holen. Ähnlich wie im gewöhnlichen Marketing zielt auch das Personalmarketing darauf ab, das Produkt – den Arbeitsplatz – effektiv und zielgerichtet zu kommunizieren. Bei der Suche nach Studienabsolventen sind es vor allem High Potentials, die aufgrund ihrer sozialen und fachlichen Kompetenzen bei den Unternehmen Aufmerksamkeit erregen. Da diese jedoch häufig über ihren Marktwert Bescheid wissen, bedarf es dem richtigen Mix an Komponenten, um sich von Konkurrenzunternehmen abzuheben. Der Aufbau einer starken und einheitlichen Arbeitgebermarke kann dazu beitragen, am Arbeitsmarkt ein unverwechselbares und jederzeit wieder erkennbares Bild zu transportieren. Dieses Employer Brand erfüllt hierbei sowohl für das Unternehmen selbst aber auch für den Bewerber verschiedenste Funktionen. Neben der Signalwirkung an den Arbeitnehmer senkt eine gut ausgeprägte Arbeitgebermarke auch die Transaktionskosten des Bewerbers. Das gleiche gilt auch für das Unternehmen. Wenn diese über ein positives Employer Brand verfügt, können Kosten der Fluktuation und Rekrutierung gesenkt und die Bindung der aktuellen Mitarbeiter erhöht werden. Das Image und die Identität eines Unternehmens können wie die Arbeitgebermarke einen besonderen Beitrag für die Personalabteilung leisten. Die die Stärkung und Verbesserung des Images und der Identität werden Mitarbeiter ans Unternehmen gebunden und ihre Wirtschaftlichkeit erhöht. Darüber hinaus fällt es Unternehmen mit positiven Image und Identität leichter, geeignete Personen für vakante Positionen zu finden. Um den theoretischen Teil dieser Diplomarbeit um eine praktische Komponente zu ergänzen, wird im letzten Kapitel eine empirische Untersuchung zum Thema Personalmarketing an der Fakultät für Wirtschaftswissenschaften erläutert. Die Ergebnisse der Befragung zeigen, dass es zwischen männlichen und weiblichen Studenten große Unterschiede bei der Wahl der Charakteristika ihres Wunscharbeitgebers gibt. Die Befragung zeigt zudem auf, dass der Studienfortschritt und die Erwerbstätigkeit neben dem Studium Einfluss auf die Beurteilung von Image haben.
