Growth Limitations for V4-Countries

The prospects for the transformation of the Visegrad countries into the "locomotives" of the European economy are considered. They have an undoubted potential to maintain sufficiently high rates of economic growth, exceeding the average level for the EU. However, the possibility of maintaining this situation in the medium term raises certain concerns. The main limitation is the gradual loss of attractiveness of the countries of the region for foreign investors, which is associated with such factors as a reduction in the number of facilities available for investment, an increase in the need for large greenfield investments that are not always adequately provided with energy and other necessary resources, and an increase in the risks of intraregional interaction in the sphere of trade, investment and industrial cooperation, the deteriorating prospects for the long-term world economic situation
