MEJORAMIENTO DE LA TÉCNICA TOPSIS MEDIANTE LA INTEGRACIÓN DE LA DISTANCIA DE MAHALANOBIS
La técnica TOPSIS es una técnica multicriterio y multiatributos que se usa en los procesos de decisión para la selección de una alternativa. Esta técnica está basada en la distancia Euclidiana que tienen un conjunto de alternativas a una alternativa ideal y otra anti-ideal, las cuales se generan con los mejores y peores valores de los atributos en evaluación. Sin embargo, estos atributos no son siempre independientes unos de otros y existe colinealidad entre los mismos, lo cual es fácilmente observable por los números de determinación, la matriz de gráficos de dispersión, los valores de los coeficientes de correlación y los eigenvalores de los datos. En este artículo se demuestra matemáticamente que la integración de la distancia de Mahalanobis en la técnica TOPSIS incluye a los coeficientes de correlación entre los atributos y que la evaluación con la distancia Euclidiana es solamente un caso especial de esta técnica mejorada.
