Penetapan Kadar Kadar Vitamin C dari Buah Melon Secara Volumetri dengan 2,6 – Diklorofenol Indofenol.
Melon is one of a superior agriculture commodity which has a goodprospect in its marketing. Melon has a power of attraction among its consumerand producer (farmer). Market demand (consumer) tends to keep increasing timeby time, because it is delighted by many people. In addition, melons are also verybeneficial for health because the subtance of nutrients such us calcium,phosphorus, fiber vitamins A, B and C. This research aims to detemination ofvitamin C of melon.The samples of melon which were from Desa Rambungan in Batang Kuissubdistrict of Deli Serdang District (North Sumatra Province), Calang in DesaRanto Moreu of Panga Subdistrict (NAD),Beureunuen in Desa Tiba Raya, avillage in Mutiara Timur Subdistrict (NAD), and Rockmelon (Medan). Thedetermination of the level of the vitamin C was established by volumetric methodwith 2,6-dichlorophenol indophenols because 2,6-dichlorophenol indophenol isselective to vitamin C.The findings indicate that the level of vitamin C in melon that comes fromDeli Serdang (29.35 mg/100 g), Calang (29.87 mg/100 g), Beureunuen (28.83mg/100 g) and Rockmelon ( 30.93 mg/100 g). Statistically by SPSS Software,show that there is difference of the rate of the level of vitamin C among melonfrom Calang with from Beureunuen, among Rockmelon with from Deli Serdang,Calang and Beureunuen, but it is founded out difference of the rate of the level ofvitamin C between melon from Deli Serdang with from Calang, from DeliSerdang with from Beureunuen. In validation method test, the percent recovery is93.43% and RSD is 1.54%.
