REVELA analiza las expectativas de los mercados sobre crecimiento e inflación para algunos países latinoamericanos. Los valores analizados representan los resultados de encuestas en el sector privado realizadas por los Bancos Centrales de cada país y bajo sus propias metodologías. Dichos valores no son proyecciones oficiales del BID ni de ningún otro órgano oficial. RES recolecta los resultados de estas encuestas, para realizar un informe y un conjunto de gráficos y tablas ilustrativas. En este número de agosto, REVELA informa que, a pesar de que las expectativas de crecimiento para el 2008 permanecen casi sin cambios en un promedio simple de 5.2%, hay seis países con menor tasa de crecimiento esperado para dicho año. Por otro lado, las expectativas de inflación continúan incrementándose.Abstract: REVELA analyzes market expectations of growth and inflation in Latin American countries. The figures analyzed represent the results of surveys of private sector actors conducted by the central banks of each country according to their own specific methodologies. They do not represent official projections by the IDB or any other official body. RES collects the results of these surveys from participating central banks on a monthly basis to produce a report and a set of illustrative graphs and tables. In this March issue, REVELA reports that although growth expectations in Latin America for 2008 remain almost unchanged at 5.2%, there are six countries with lower expected 2008 growth rates. On the other hand, Inflation expectations continue to rise, now the expected inflation rate for 2008 is 7.6%, 0.54% higher than last month. The most significant increase occurred in Bolivia where the expected inflation rate rose from 12.91% to 16.97%.
