Romania, its Travels and European Touristic Tendencies

According to statistics, 2007 brought benefits to Romanian tourism, registering a number of almost 7 million tourists accommodated in touristic units of Romania. Yet, the percentage of foreign tourists was only of 22.2% in all, their number of housing being of 17.4%. The fact that Romania has joined the European Union and Sibiu city has become European Capital for a year definitely account for the number of 7.7 million foreign visitors, the ones belonging to the European Union holding a percentage of 62.3%. Consequently, at a simple calculus, one can notice a greater involvement of Romanians as tourists, both in the country and abroad. However, numerous aspects may be included in our analysis so as to assess the importance of Romania's touristic field from the perspective of globalization and the conclusions for the involved factors are not optimistic. Some considerations concerning these Romanian evolutions and tendencies are presented below
