Romanian identity projections: „the ancestors cult” case

The identitary discourse cannot avoid the origins of the national group, and the reference to „the ancestors’ cult” is intrinsec to some argumentation which has as finility the mention and the characterization of its own identity. Trying to support its own interests and to obtain an acknowledgement from behalf of the other national groups, the identitary rhetoric is subjected to some direct pressures of the politics or of the conditionings of its own culture. In the case of the Romanian people, the appeal to „the ancestors’ cult” was a real identitary constant, even if it was misinterpreted through the angle of the native report versus the allogeneous one or singularity versus integration.
