The Role of the Human Resources Distinctive Competencies in Sustaining Business Competitive Advantage
In today's fast-changing, increasingly global and competitive world, the ability of any business to create and sustain competitive advantage is one of the only urging questions. Conventionally, in most businesses, tangible resources are the key factors for improving the business market position. It is a problem that tangible resources are becoming only an imperative and threshold for business survival and market penetration. Tangible resources are factors of competitive parity rather than factors which sustain competitive advantage. However, as an answer to this problem we are going to develop a non conventional hypothesis that there is a significant positive relationship between human resources intangible core competencies and competitive advantage. This hypothesis is based on the findings of the resource-based view (RBV) of Jay B. Barney Delwyn N. Clark 2007 which explains how human resources as business strategic resources will meet the criteria for sustained competitive advantage in that they are valuable, rare, inimitable, and they must be able to be exploited by a firm's organizational processes
