Outsourcing in the Slovak automotive industry
Die Arbeit besteht aus einem theoretischen und einem praktischen Teil.
Der theoretische Teil, der die ersten drei Kapitel umfasst, behandelt das Outsourcing allgemein und dient dazu, dem Leser theoretische Basis zum Thema zu vermitteln und die Problematik näher zu bringen. Als Erstes erkläre ich die terminologischen Grudlagen des Begriffs “Outsourcing“ und grenze die verschiedenen in der Praxis erscheinenden Formen der Fremdbeschaffung ein. Empirische Studien beweisen das Vorkommen der Outsourcing-Aktivitäten und weisen auf die Trends der letzten Jahre zu. Nachfolgend beschreibe ich die Vor- und Nachteile des Outsourcings, die die Unternehmen, die Outsourcing einsetzen, unbedingt in Betracht ziehen sollten. Konkret behandle ich den ökonomischen sowie strategischen Nutzen des Outsourcings, weise jedoch auch auf die zahlreichen potenziellen Risiken auf. Viele Unternehmen sehen Outsourcing als ein Allheilmittel für alle internen Probleme und verdrängen die damit verbundenen Gefahren völlig. Ein wichtiger Teil der Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit den in der Literatur erwähnten Mothodologien und den relevanten Faktoren, die die Outsourcing-Entscheidung beeinflussen. Ich orientiere meine Recherche vor allem auf die meist erwähneten und gängigen Strategien und erkläre diese in Kürze.
Der praktische Teil der Arbeit appliziert die gewonnenen thoeretischen Kenntnisse in der Praxis. Ich bediene mich des Fallbeispiels von Volkswagen Slovakia um die Einflussfaktoren, basierend auf den Theorien, mit den empirisch relevanten Faktoren zu vergleichen und zu diskutieren. An mehreren Stellen kähre ich zu der Theorie zurück und weise auf die Ähnlichkeiten beziehungsweise Unterschiede zwischen Theorie und Praxis auf. Auf eine kurze Darstellung des Volkswagen-Konzerns und seines Tochterunternehmens in der Slowakischen Republik folgt eine Beschreibung der strategischen Planung der Outsourcing-Aktivitäten in Volkswagen Slovakia. Der praktische Teil wird von einem konkreten Fallbeispiel abgeschlossen, in dem ich die Externalisierung der operativen Logistik des Produktionsstandortes in Bratislava verfolge und ausführlich beschreibe.
In der Konklusion am Ende der Diplomarbeit fasse ich die neu gewonnenen Erkenntnisse in einer übersichtlichen Tabelle zusammen. Die Synthese der theoretischen und der praktischen Einsichten weist auf den situativen Charakter des Outsourcings auf und diskutiert die unterschiedliche Anwendung der Einflussfaktoren bei Volkswagen Slovakia. Zusätzlich werden spezifische Einflussfaktoren, die Volkswagen Slovakia in dem Entscheidungsprozess mit einbezogen hat, angeführt.
